Known for its popularity among David Nicholson’s stable lads, some of whom even stayed there while working for Nicholson, this pub holds a special place in the equestrian community. Having personally lived there for a period, I can attest to the delightful experience of enjoying an evening meal at this establishment, which far surpassed the accommodations at the lads hostel “Tally-Ho” in Condicote where I also resided for three years.
